WORLD ART DAY
World Art Day is celebrated annually on April 15th to raise awareness about the importance of art in our lives and to promote the development and enjoyment of art. The day was first declared by the International Association of Art (IAA/AIAP) in 2011.
On this day, artists, art organizations, and art enthusiasts from around the world come together to celebrate art and its impact on our society. Many events and activities take place, including art exhibitions, workshops, conferences, and cultural festivals.
Overall, World Art Day is an important celebration that highlights the significance of art in our lives and brings attention to the many ways that art enriches our world.
My Public School Kindergarten students have visited art exhibition and participated in an art activity that involved tape painting. Tape painting is a technique where children use adhesive tape to create designs on a canvas or paper and then paint over it to create a colorful and unique piece of art.
Objective:
The objective of this activity was to encourage the children to express themselves creatively through art and learn about different techniques and materials used in painting.
The children were excited and enthusiastic as they dipped their paintbrushes in different colors of paint and painted over the tape designs. They mixed colors and created new shades, which added to the beauty of their paintings. After the paint was dry, the children peeled off the tape to reveal their unique designs.
Overall, the tape painting activity was an excellent way to celebrate World Art Day and encourage the children to express themselves creatively.
