Dr. Ambedkar was a man of many virtues. He was a jurist, economist, politician, and a social reformist. Popularly known as Babasaheb, he was a man of social substance who became India’s first ever Independent Law Minister and principal architect of the Indian Constitution. He was the one who sparked The Dalit Buddhist movement in 1956. Dr. Ambedkar was against social discrimination, for which he even supported Dalits while supporting equality for women and labourers.

To pay tribute to his contributions made for our country, My Public School celebrated Ambedkar Jayanti on 13th April, 2023 in the school premises. After which a cultural presentation was done by the students of Primary wing to showcase how Dr. B.R Ambedkar’s teachings can help us in our daily lives through their speeches and slogans. Students of Kindergarten were dressed up little Ambedkar inspiring us to follow his footstep. Moving further Preamble was also read by Ariba Parveen of Class X B to make students aware of the core values of the Constitution.

Post Ambedkar Jayanti’s celebrations, Baisakhi was also celebrated with equal fervour and emotion. Children prepared a presentation on Baisakhi signifying importance of celebrating this festival in our country.

Principal Ms. Sangeeta Rekhi ma’am enlightened the young audience highlighting the importance of day.
