Health is a state of body. Wellness is a state of being- Stanford
Holistic Health & Wellbeing programme was organised for students.
The purpose of the programme was to impart life skills amongst the students that are useful in the context of everyday life and relevant to contemporary times. Its key objective was to enable them to recognise the role of mental health and well-being and the various ways in which it can be enhanced so that contents of the training can be executed in creative ways within our School. Through this programme, the students were introduced to the objectives of the programme along with its relevance in contemporary times and how it would enable them within the schooling context. The program also aims to empower the Life Skills and Wellbeing Ambassadors and to enrich the climate for Healthy and Happy Schools. Not only this Cervical Cancer Programme was also carried out to create awareness among girl students. Cervical cancer is the 4th most common cancer among women, but it can be prevented and treated if caught early. Holistic health combines mind, body and spirit wellness to promote healing and overall health maintenance and prevention. When one of these parts is off-balance, an individual’s well-being can be affected. With this in mind, students were sensitized about holistic health through various approaches and how in turn it can lead to mental health and well being of the students not only this students were also informed about healing and maintenance of the whole person, rather than just a single symptom.
