Dental Medical Camp

    A sparkling smile depicts a healthy heart. MY PUBLIC SCHOOL organized a Dental Checkup Camp for Grade I and Grade II . The aim of the camp was to check, regulate and maintain the dental wellness of the students and spread awareness regarding dental health and hygiene. Following the motto “prevention is better than cure, ” the teachers and medical instructors told the students to follow a schedule that keeps them fit orally and what sort of food provides better health.
The event was held in the school premises and lasted for three hours, starting from 10:30 am to 01:30 pm. The medical team comprised two dentists and a dental hygienists, who conducted the oral check-up of the children.
Activities:
The dental camp comprised various activities to make children feel comfortable and enthusiastic about oral health. The event began with a brief orientation session, where the children were taught about the importance of maintaining good oral hygiene. The dental professionals demonstrated the right way to brush, floss and clean the tongue to prevent tooth decay and gum disease.
After the orientation session, the children underwent an oral check-up. The dental professionals examined the children’s teeth, gums, and mouth for any signs of decay, cavities, or other dental issues. They also gave advice on how to brush and floss their teeth properly.
To make the event more interactive, the dental team distributed dental kits, including toothbrushes, toothpaste, to all the children. They also gave a brief demonstration of how to use the dental kit.
The dental medical camp was a huge success. The children enjoyed the event and actively participated in the activities. The dental team examined around 200 children, out of which 20% had some form of dental issue. The dental professionals provided guidance to the parents of these children to seek timely dental treatment.
Overall, the dental medical camp was an excellent initiative to promote oral health awareness among young children. The event helped the children learn about the importance of maintaining good oral hygiene and provided them with the necessary tools to take care of their teeth. The school authorities and the dental team are commended for their efforts in organizing and conducting the dental medical camp.
