With this thought, My Public School celebrated the 74th Republic Day with great eclat.
Republic Day in India is celebrated every year on the 26th of January. It was on this day that the Constitution of India came into being, replacing the Government of India Act of 1935 and making India a Republic Nation. So to commemorate this day the school was decorated with tri-colour balloons. The ceremony began with the unfurling of the National tricolor by honorable Principal Ms. Sangeeta Rekhi followed by the National Anthem to pay tribute to the motherland. The auspicious day commenced with the address to the students by the school Principal. She dedicated the celebration to the undying human spirit to triumph in the face of adversity and touched upon the measures being taken by the nation to help the citizens.
Further, to mark the importance of this day, a small cultural programme was organized in the school premises which included dance, music, and speech by the students. Listening to patriotic songs by our choir group triggered in the children and teachers alike, many emotions; pride, love, and respect for the country.
As Vasant Panchmi happens to fall on the same day students of Pre-Primary actively participated in various creative activities such as kite making, fingerprinting, tearing and pasting activity, and making a beautiful tricolour Indian flag. They also did craft activities and made beautiful tricolour hanging, with the help of their teachers.
Everyone celebrated this day with great gusto towards their country and its constitution. The children were also briefed about the significance of each colour of our national flag. All the children actively participated in all the activities, which enhanced their creativity and motor skills. Overall, it was a fun-filled learning and enjoyable day for our tiny tots. The little Mypians celebrated the day with great enthusiasm honouring the Constitution of India.
In the end, no celebration is complete without making us feel proud of the fact that, “Saare Jaahan se Achcha Hindustan Hamara.
