Conducting series of workshops is not the only aim but mission to create more leaders for the future. Experiential learning goes on in teachers attending webinars/Seminars ,Understanding, Applying n then Creating such training sessions for their peer group.
This Pilot Project of churning more Resource Persons saw the dawn at My Public School on 10th May 2023 when two Staff Members conducted the Sessions on Annual Pedagogical Plan and Art Integration.
The First session on Art Integration was conducted by Middle Wing Coordinator Ms. Saba Sayed. She begun her session with a discussion on the importance of arts which was followed by Bloom’s Taxonomy. She shared the importance of art integrated teaching and how it helps to build critical thinking and provides connective learning. She also discussed about the various forms of art that can be included in different subjects and how we can imbibe those art forms in our current curriculum where students can learnt art forms of the pairing state in the form of project where marks will be allotted to them as Subject enrichment activity. Further, she gave many examples of art integration and emphasized the need to provide insight and upgradation exercise to enable teachers to integrate subjects in alignment with the requirements of the NEP 2020.
The second session on Annual Pedagogical Plan was conducted by Academic Head Ms. Bulbul Chaudhary. She begun her session with the vision to implement value based education with new innovation and ideas in our pedagogical plan to empower the students. She added that teachers have the agency to curate the road map of learning along with the students. So for the same she apprised the entire staff on the Annual Pedagogical Plan and how we can make our pedagogical plan based on new innovative ideas to hone aesthetically rich and intellectually aware students by adding the 21st century learning skills. She also added that stress needs to be laid on competency based education and contextual learning rather than concept based education.
Both the sessions were informative, highly productive, as the teacher-participants gained valuable insights into the various aspects of demonstrative teaching through art integration and also by learning innovative ways to implement their teaching strategies in Annual Pedagogical Plan.
