Celebrating International Yoga Day @ CBSE: Embracing Harmony and Well-being
Every year, on June 21st, people around the world come together to celebrate International Yoga Day. Yoga is a holistic discipline originating from ancient India and has gained worldwide recognition for its numerous physical, mental, and spiritual benefits. Recognizing the significance of this ancient practice, My Public School had organised plethora of activities for their students highlighting this year’s theme “Yoga for Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam”
Yoga Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm, aiming to promote wellness, unity and mindfulness among students. Every student, from kindergarten to high school, was encouraged to participate and promote physical and mental well-being while fostering a sense of unity and community thus making it an inclusive experience.
To commemorate this day and also to fulfill the aim of our honourable Prime Minister Har Aangan Yog students performed various asanas to bring out the importance of yoga in serving better mental health practices in our lives. Practicing yoga in nature allowed students to connect with their surroundings and experience the calming effects of practicing outside. The asanas also help in maintaining a steady posture and reduce mental tiredness, stress and anxiety. They conveyed a message that practising yogasanas regularly can help to maintain a healthy body and a healthy mind. It is a movement
dedicated to the youth to inspire them to come together for the sustainability and global harmony.
Principal Ms. Sangeeta Rekhi encouraged students to practice regular yoga to remain fit and improve concentration. She was contended to see students enthusiastically engaged in these activities thus fulfilling the School’s aim to instill a lifelong interest in yoga and thereby encouraging students to prioritize their well-being. The overall participation by Mypians served as a testament to their personal growth and the positive impact of yoga in their lives.
The Yoga Day celebration was a resounding success, leaving a lasting impact on all participants. It provided an opportunity for students to embrace a healthy lifestyle, cultivate mindfulness, and deepen their connection to their own bodies and minds. By celebrating Yoga Day, our school community reaffirmed its commitment to overall well-being and unity, encouraging students to carry the lessons learned into their daily lives.

This unique camp, organized by My Public school for a period of 5 days combines the joys of summer vacation with educational enrichment, fostering personal growth, and nurturing a love for learning in a fun-filled and supportive environment.
While the School Summer Camp is education-centric, it also embraces the rejuvenating power of nature. It becomes the ultimate playground as students delve into an array of outdoor adventures. The First Day of camp was organised with exciting outdoor adventures such as basket ball, cricket, skating and Karate providing students with an opportunity to connect with the environment and appreciate the wonders of the natural world. These outdoor experiences foster a sense of stewardship, environmental awareness, and a deeper connection to the world around.Incorporating cultural exploration into the camp’s activities, students are exposed to diverse perspectives, traditions, and customs through art and craft, music, Zumba, financial literacy, Personality grooming, hand writing and digital citizenship. promoting empathy, inclusivity, and a global mind-set.
From thrilling games to creative explorations, this summer promises to be an extraordinary journey of growth, learning, and pure delight. In an awe-inspiring display of technique and determination, Alma Zehra Rizvi (Class VII) claimed the gold medal in the Kumite category in ISKU National Karate Championship- 2023. With her flawless execution, precision, and grace, she captivated the judges and spectators alike, showcasing her mastery of this traditional aspect of karate.
Displaying remarkable strength and flexibility at 11th South Asia Hakuakai Karate Championship – 2023, Aqsa Fatima (Class IX) earned a silver medal in the Kumite category. Her impeccable timing, swift movements, and calculated strikes demonstrated her expertise in this challenging discipline, earning her well-deserved recognition. With an extraordinary display of skill and determination again Aqsa Fatima (Class IX) achieved bronze medal in Kata category, Shuja Abbas (Class V) and Ayesha Malik (Class VIII) achieved bronze medals in the Kumite category. Their unwavering spirit, resilience, and tactical brilliance allowed them to excel in intense combat situations, proving their mettle on the tournament stage.
Principal Ms. Sangeeta Rekhi congratulated our karate achievers in participating at the South Asia Hakuakai Karate Championship where they not only brought honor to themselves but have also inspired the entire school community to pursue their goals with passion and determination. She mentioned that it is a testament to their unwavering dedication, countless hours of training, and unwavering support from their instructors Mr. Zahid, their parents and the school. Their achievements not only highlight their individual excellence but also shine a spotlight on the school’s commitment to nurturing talent, discipline, and perseverance. ]]>The sunny May morning saw impeccably dressed students, ready to shoulder all the responsibilities coming their way at the Investiture Ceremony for the Session 2023-24.
22nd May was a crucial day, marking this ceremony which was held at My Public School under the aegis of Heritage Club – Virasat with utmost regard at school. The Ceremony was held with lots of zeal and zest as it was graced by the presence of esteemed Chief Guest, parents, teachers and students
At this ceremony, a school prefectorial board is formed after scrutinous interviewing and selection which gives them a feel of functioning of an official administrative body. Building capable leaders of the future, badges were conferred upon the Student Council. These badges are a symbol of the duty and responsibility towards the school, taking charge and making decisions as representatives of the entire student body. To enhance the celebratory atmosphere, various cultural performances were incorporated into the event. The Investiture Ceremony commenced with a welcome song by our school choir, followed by school assembly after which the cultural programme showcased the diverse talents of the students. The performances were a blend of traditional art forms, captivating the audience throughout the event.
After the beauty of the welcome song, the students of Classes VI, VII & VIII presented Indian Classical dance Kathak on Main Naye Bharat ka Chehra and Skill India to educate and inspire students about the significance of Indian Classical dance and skill India, a National campaign launched to empower youth with industry relevant skills.
The graceful movements, synchronized steps, and colorful costumes mesmerized the audience. Parents were spellbound to witness Kindergarten parade held during investiture ceremony. The young and talented battalions marched forward to instill leadership qualities, thus aimed to foster a sense of responsibility and team work among students.
The elected members were conferred with their respective badges and sashes followed by an oath-taking ceremony, where the head boy and head girl administered the oath to the student council expressing their commitment to fulfill their roles with integrity, dedication, and loyalty. This solemn moment added a sense of gravity and responsibility to their positions. It was a proud moment for all the Parents to witness their children being invested with great responsibilities while embarking on a new journey as leaders. The Chief Guest Mr. Rahul Kesarvai Sir, President of Meerut Sahodaya School Complex was truly an inspirational icon for the students where he shared his motivational words to the student council about Three Magic Words which can bring magic in the life of the students. He also spoke about how the newly elected student council can uphold the legacy of the school and the importance of leadership qualities and tips on how turn out to be a leader. He reminded them that with position comes responsibility towards themselves, their school and peers and struggles help one to achieve heights.
In the end Principal Ms. Sangeeta Rekhi in her address congratulated the council members and encouraged them to put in their honest efforts for every endeavor and to become an inspiration for their juniors.
With the flag held high, the ceremony culminated with the National Anthem.
Art is an expression of our thoughts, emotions and desires. Its about sharing the way we experience the world. In My Public School, we empower our students with their powerful medium of expression. A carefully designed curriculum which ensures that the students not only learn basics of Art and Craft but are able to express themselves freely.
To present and express the art work of the students an Art Exhibition was organised under the aegis of Art Club “Srijjan” displaying an amalgamation of various material manipulations and learning of concepts during their classes by students.
Art Integration @CBSE in the curriculum helps children to express themselves, explore their creativity, and helps them to develop their fine motor skills. Hence to explore the art work of the students a display was put together to present the experiments and experiences with different mediums of art. The self expression of the students were portrayed well in their coloured sketches and different art forms such as Worli Art, Madhubani Art, Gond Art, Letter Art, Illusions, Minimalist Art and Cartoon Character where one could get glimpse of various art form thought in school and would experience the aura where colours came alive. In the end Principal Ms. Sangeeta Rekhi congratulated students for their efforts and motivated them to continue the work with the same spirit and develop a fine aesthetic sense.
